L'ORÉAL COLOUR RICHE CARESSE WET SHINE STAIN 186 BERRY PERSISTENT

Lip stains are just coming out of almost every brand now. Ever since YSL launched their Vernis à Lèvres (Glossy Stains), the makeup world has been swarmed by the stains. Although not the first, the ever first stain should be Benefit's Benetint.

I don't own YSL's Glossy Stains because I happen to splurge on L'Oréal's Colour Riche Caresse Wet Shine Stain, and I'm very pleased with this product!

It has somewhat strange, new applicator, which isn't doe-foot. It's bent, and I'm sure it's supposed to help with the application, and it does. However, the wand is a bit too big that precise application is hard to deliver.

The colour in 186 Berry Persistent is violet purple, which has a cool tone. I specifically chose a deep colour because I knew that deeper colours would stain better from reading other reviews on many other blogs. Surely, it stains as it's purposed to be. However, don't expect it to last after a long meal. In that sense, it's almost like a long-lasting gloss, but it is still very impressive in its lasting power.

It's not very moisturizing, but given it's a lip stain, it's better than older stains that have come out in the past. It's slightly glossy in finish as the name suggests, but not too overpowering in shine.

The swatch below is not very good, but it gives you an idea.
